In my economics class I'm doing a project on the stock market. We pick five businesses and record our stocks every friday, and have been for the entire semester. I lost my paper I recorded them on, so now I need to find a website that shows me week by week stock prices. Thanks

Yahoo Finance has a great history of previous stock prices. Go here and type in your ticker symbols:

In either yahoo or google finance web pages, once you've entered the stock symbol that you're interested in, you'll notice that one of the selections on the left hand side of the page is labeled "Historical", if you click on that, you can get all the historical data on the stock in text form, you can also download it as a CSV (comma separated value) file that can be easily imported into Excel. The main difference is that Google's data has all been adjusted for dividends and stock splits where as Yahoo's data hasn't but Yahoo includes an extra column for the daily closing price that has been adjusted for dividends and stock splits, and Yahoo also gives you when the dividends and splits occur. The adjustment for the dividends do not account for reinvestment of the dividends.

I prefer google. www.google.com/finance . Open that up. Say you want to look up historical stock price for RSO:

1. Look up RSO in the search bar

2. Look at the graph with the price, move your mouse around, notice how the dot on the line changes the price and time on the graph in the upper right.

3. try your scroll wheel over the graph to compress/expand time OR just use the slider bar at the bottom

4. Now you can look at prices for any period of time. If you need to zoom in, just grab the right or left slider bar.

You should be done in no time with this tool.
