I hear so much about the sex industry, especially on the web, but can't find too much about it when i watch Bloomberg, or read World News and Business Report..

I'd like to get my portfolio enhanced, and was thinking of wading into this lucrative industry..what are the best stocks? where can i obtain a prospectus? Does anyone know where they post quarterly earnings?.. Who are the major CEO's in the sex industry?

The stocks you want to focus on is consumer staples, consumer discretionary, and healthcare. These are DEFENSIVE stocks that will survive through good and bad times. Most of my positions are in these stocks. Some names include 3M, Procter & Gamble, Kimberly Clark, Exxon Mobil, Walmart, Costco. Everybody's got to eat and wipe their butts regardless of the state of economy. Many of these companies survived through the Great Depression.

That's the benefits. You can sleep at night knowing your money is doing well. There are NO guarantees that you won't lose money. It's just that these stocks are the best. They pay good dividends too.

There are a few out there. I think the answerer above suggested playboy. Playboy is a good name, however it is facing some tough times. There is a lot of debt built up within the company. The company will need to pay off some of that debt before it will be able to return much cash to the shareholders. The ticker is PLA.

I think Rick's Cabaret has a lot more potential. The ticker is RICK. The company owns and operates strip clubs. It is expanding rapidly. Strip clubs are highly profitable, and there are very few international franchises that have the system down like Rick's. If you want more information about the company you can visit the Securities Exchange Commission's website. www.sec.gov. If you click on "search" in the top right corner of the screen you will be able to access the company's SEC filings which include information such as the annual and quarterly reports etc that are public information as required by law. There are also other places to get information such as msn money or yahoo finance. They will often post news and opinions. You can always visit the company's website and request information directly by contacting the company's investor relations.

The goal is to find a company that is growing. The faster the company grows the faster the stock price increases. Growth is achieved by capital expenditures, in the case of Rick's these include building new and acquiring strip clubs. As the company buys more strip clubs it generates more revenue, more income, and more dividends which makes the company more valuable when you try to sell it on the market. There may be more companies out there, but the sex industry is dominated by local businesses rather than large corporations.

It sad to think the chocolate that I once enjoyed lint and nestle know the cocoa then buy is harvested by slave children. With no protected gear. I signed a partition against slave chocolate trade. In western country like Australia teenagers work at fast food stores and supermarkets. I think they have nothing to complain about as they are getting training in job skills for a good job later. The work condishion are checked and their lives are not indanger as they have safety equipment. Also guide line insure they only work so long.
