I am fed up with these answers consisting of a spiel about UOMO. The posters all joined on 17th June, No IM, no email, Q&As private etc. Why am I annoyed? Probably because the whole UOMO fiasco annoys me.

Yahoo can block the spammers. Other websites are doing it. Of course, it is a never-ending battle since the spammers never just give up and go away. But there could be several easy fixes. Rule number 1... No one can post a link until they are Level 2. A filter could recognize when any User enters the exact same combination of letters and numbers.

If you click on FORUM at the left side of the HOme Page, you will see that you are not the only one who is concerned with this.

Welcome to Yahoo Answers -- the place where a multimillion dollar Web company refuses to apply even the simplest spam filters, so that anyone who wants to can create multiple identities and post multiple spam messages over and over again, day after day after day.

Keep hitting the "report abuse" button. Who knows, some day they might actually pay attention to it!
